In January 2013, SOM and a group of artists founded the Chiang Mai Art Conversation (CAC), a non-profit artist-run collective based in Chiang-Mai, Thailand. Observing that art spaces and galleries around Chiang Mai were isolated and lacked communication, CAC decided to gather and share all the information relating to art spaces and communities in Chiang Mai. CAC operates as an online platform providing events, through a monthly calendar, a map of Chiang Mai art spaces and galleries and other useful information about the local art communities. This innovative project has been successful in effectively bridging the communication gap between various local galleries. As Chiang Mai Art Conversation continues to grow, they hope to facilitate collaborative artistic projects and exhibitions in in the coming years, starting with a street festival in 2016.
